The mission of CIWA's Education Committee is to provide critical educational information and resources through multi-channel efforts to our members. Further, the committee will find new and engaging ways to enhance our education offerings and realized further educational opportunities for our membership.

Surplus Line Association of California (SLA)
The Surplus Line Association of California (SLA) is a non-profit trade association comprised of more than 5,000 members. The SLA is governed by a plan of operation approved by the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and the SLA Board of Directors. Since 1994, the Association has served as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the CDI. The SLA’s mission is “to ensure that a responsive and lawful surplus line market is maintained in California”.
