2011 California Wholesalers Industry Days Recap

The California Wholesalers Industry Days (CWID) held in January 2011 was again a great success. There were 100 attendees comprised of admitted and non-admitted carriers, company vendors, the press, guests from the Department of Insurance, lawyers and, of course, insurance wholesalers. What a great networking opportunity for all.

David F. Anderson, chairman of Anderson & Murison, Inc., was honored with the prestigious Wholesale Industry Award. Mr. Anderson was a founding president of CIWA from 1991 to 1993 and served on the board of the directors of the organization from founding until 2010. Dave Anderson has been active in the insurance industry since 1950, was one of only 2 individuals to serve twice as chairman of the Surplus Line Association of California, in 1974 and again in 1982; he served as president of the AAMGA in 1981 and on their executive committee from 1976 to 1982. And he served as a board member of the Surplus Line Coalition in 1993.
There was a 2 hour seminar on Business to Business Online Marketing presented by well-known speaker and author Patrick Schwerdtfeger. The class was an excellent presentation, good for all businesses re: how to optimize your website, drive internet traffic, and monetize your business to business content.
