Surplus Line Association of California (SLA)
The Surplus Line Association of California (SLA) is a non-profit trade association comprised of more than 5,000 members. The SLA is governed by a plan of operation approved by the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and the SLA Board of Directors. Since 1994, the Association has served as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the CDI. The SLA’s mission is “to ensure that a responsive and lawful surplus line market is maintained in California”.
